Today, as usual, I visited my favorite fashion websites to read the latest news and gossip flooding the fashion world. The updates seemed typical, offering the latest in advertising and editorial news until the title; "Marc and Lorenzo Finally Tie the Knot!" appeared on Fashionista.com. My jaw dropped and my heart filled with joy at the sight of the couple posing alongside a wedding cake. If you know anything about me, you know I love Marc Jacobs. From his fashion shows, to his handbags, and even his silly tattoos, I love it all. He has been my favorite designer for years, and though I am a college student without the funds to purchase his perfect designs, I still look at all the pretty clothes and dream. Throughout 2009, rumors of when and where Marc and Lorenzo whould actually wed were hot on the fashion news scene. Marc had hinted he planned on a December wedding in St. Barts but nothing had been confirmed. I continued reading the article, still elated with the news when I saw a very unfortunate word, "update." As it turns out the couple didn't mayy at all. My heart sank and I sighed a little at the news. Hopefully I will be reporting an actual marriage involving Marc Jacobs soon.
